#RestInPeace #RIP Jung Chawoong ; Class President, born on April 17th 97, dead on April 17th 14. Save his friends. Park Jiyoung : Sewol Ferry Crew, 27 years old, handling life jacket & her last message ” I’ll leave after all people save and get out.” #PrayforSouthKorea #Sewol #Jindo

I dont know how to feel about kpop fans reblogging this like that.It just feels wrong idk.

I’m sorry but wtf???? Are we not allowed to mourn too? What feels “wrong” about this?

Well, first off all, you have nothing to mourn about. You are not affected by this. Don’t make it about yourself. You know how disrespectful that is towards the victims families?
Feel sad, shocked, moved. I think the word you are looking for is empathy or condolence.
As someone who’s close relatives face was plastered everywhere when they died a tragic death I just don’t think that this kind of behavior is appropriate.
The link doesn’t link the source of the pictures. Someone could just have taken them from a random fb page without asking - trust me, this happens.
There are so many more appropriate way to show your compassion. I don’t think reblogging pictures on a kpop blog with hashtags is paying the victims justice. Do you think this is what mourning is? Easy to consume? and in between reblogging pictures of kpop idols?

Wow you need to get off your high horse. I don’t even know where to start with your incredibly flawed argument and frankly it’s 4 am so I’ll just jump into it.
EVERYONE has a reason to mourn in this situation. Kids younger than me just died in this horrific incident and you expect me not to feel anything? If you’re not “affected by this” then you must be a robot. By the way, you should look up the definition of “mourn” because it’s not a word used exclusively for people close to the victims.
You just stereotyped the entire k-pop fandom, assuming that we’re reblogging this post because we think the victims are attractive. Yeah, we read your tags before you erased them. News flash - some k-pop fans actually give a shit about what goes on in Korea outside of music.
Also you’re telling me not to mourn yet you’re saying I should do more to “pay the victims justice”? Just to let you know, since you’re so quick to assume, I’ve been following this story for the past day, constantly refreshing the news pages. I’ve shared the story with my Korean roommate and made sure her cousins weren’t on that ferry. I’ve watched the death toll rise from 4 to 6 to 7 to 9. There is not much else I can do but stay informed and maybe reblog a Tumblr post honoring the young heroes that died but I guess that’s not good enough for an entitled human like you.
